This online course will guide you from your first word to number 5000. Over the 8 weeks we hold four online Zoom meetings at weeks 1,2,5 and 8.
Lets break it down: Class starts @ 9:30 am Nowra/Sydney Australian Time
We will discuss the fundamentals of short story writing. We will help you identify the back bone of your short story and direct you towards your narrative voice, your characters and basically help lay the foundation for your 5000 words. You now begin the first 500/1000 words of your story. You will email your first 500/1000 words 24 hours before the second lesson.
We will use this zoom lesson to discuss and answer any questions that you have encountered over the past week. We discuss your first submission, and, you will give us the outline of your short story. We will then discuss the characters and writing voice, and, equip you to your first 2000 words.
You get to discuss your experience of your first 2000 words. You are invited to pick our brains for answers and help direct you into the next 2000 words. You get to submit your first 2000 words ready for feedback in week 5.
We use this lesson to discuss the feedback emailed to you the day prior. You submit the next 2000 words and get prepared for the final 1000 words. At week 6 you will receive an email with our feedback of your second submission and now the hard work begins. You now have 2 weeks to put everything together.
At this lesson we reveal your front cover artwork. Based on the answers given to us weeks prior, we have collaborated with a professional artist and used your answers to create a masterpiece front cover. You will now submit your 5000 word short story ready for editing and polishing.
We will help you to:
We will publish your short story.
We will edit your final piece of writing and organise an artist to create a unique front cover piece just for you.
Your short story will be published among others in our first Blank Page Society Short Story Collection Ebook.
You will obviously get this book for free, but there is a Bonus!!!! We are making this eBook available to the public for purchase and with every eBook sold, you will get a piece of the pie. Thats, right. You will earn 20c for every book sold.
