My role as your Psychotherapist is to focus on assisting you to explore and understand aspects of yourself and experience. I assist you to understand how past experiences influence and shape your current responses to life events. The focus is on the here and now response, the past simply provides the platform for understanding.
Psychotherapy is related to its cousin, psychoanalysis, but is informed by modern interpersonal and relational models of working with clients. Psychotherapists draw from modern neurobiology and a range of evidence based methods of working. My preferred techniques include Psychoanalytic/Psychodynamic - Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) - Narrative Therapy - Gestalt - Exposure Therapy - Existential - Positive Psychology - Catharsis
I use the above and my unique ability to build rapport to focus on you and your mental health.
My aim is to assist you in finding a healthy releaser of emotions (Catharsis). Everybody needs it. When we go through stressful and challenging times, we need more of it. Some ways people find Catharsis is through art, music, exercise, sex, reading, talking to people, alcohol, food or spending their hard earned money. Some of these are positive soothing behaviours, and some are negative, especially when life becomes stressful, or traumatic, because then it becomes destructive and addictive.
We live in a world that teaches people to bottle up emotions and carry on. While one side of society is encouraging you to face their emotional struggles and open up, the other side is telling you to maintain a poker face and be tough.
I use the above and my unique ability to build rapport and connect with you to focus on you and your mental health.
I am available Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm.

Using a holistic approach, I am passionate about working with people who wish to embrace life according to what is important for them. I am particularly passionate about working with people moving through difficult challenges that they know will reap great rewards. Walking and working together to become whole.
I am passionate about working with grief and loss and navigating old worn out patterns - especially with boys and men of all ages.
You may find your sense of self is shifting, feeling dissociated and lonely when things feel uncertain and overwhelming. Transition is something we all know intimately and we are constantly dancing inside and outside, making sense of ourselves and the world. And yet in transitional times hold a magnificent potential for growth and self-discovery. Is this what you seek?
I always have an open and safe space free of judgement yet filled with curiosity. This allows clients the time and freedom to explore distressing topics in the hope of allowing them back to a functioning and stable life.
My current business days are Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm either in-person or online via the Zoom App.
Finding the right therapist / counsellor for you is of utmost importance. I encourage you to ‘meet me’ initially by having a free 15-minute phone chat.
